Installing New Servers

 

The key to the entire system is to have at least one server installed and active. To install your server ( or WHM if you are a reseller ) click on the ‘Add New Server’ link under server management in the navigation.

Once inside, you will need to put in your server name and shared IP address for that server.

SERVER NAME:

This is the name to recognize the server from within your management area.

 

SERVER IP ADDRESS:

This is the ‘ shared ‘ IP address assigned to the server for all accounts to be installed on.

 

The next step is the servers nameservers that your clients will need to point to.

The next step is setting your maximun accounts to install onto this server.

This is the total accounts that you want to have installed on the server until you consider it to be full.

 

If you are a reseller, and not a ROOT user, you must check the box shown below.

Failure to check this, and you are a reseller, could cause functions to fail in automation.

 

The next step is putting in your WHM Login information. If you are a reseller, this is your reseller login to the WHM, if you are ROOT, this username would be root.

The access key is obtainable from your WHM. There will be a link on the left, at the top named ‘Setup Remote Access Key’. Click on that link and cut and paste the key into this box. Once all is in place, click the ‘Add This Server’ button at the bottom. If all goes well, the button name will change from Add to Edit. You will also get an email confirming the installation of this server into your WHM AutoPilot.
